Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (CS/CE/EE or related).
• 8+ years of professional software development experience in telecom or networking.
• 5+ years with 5G Core Network Functions or LTE/4G EPC systems.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or equivalent languages for telecom processing.
• Deep knowledge of 3GPP specs and RAN/5G protocols; able to resolve protocol issues.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test case development.
• Proven debugging and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain 5G Core Network Functions and their service interfaces using C++, Python, or equivalent on Linux.
• Implement 3GPP protocols (NAS, PFCP, GTP-U, HTTP/2) and network interfaces (N4, N11).
• Build and enhance service-based microservices architecture with REST-like APIs.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems, analyze control-plane signaling, and debug protocol interactions.
• Develop 5G core network control-plane probes for real-time monitoring and analysis.
• Create automated test frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with leaders to elicit requirements, document technical details, and support demonstrations.
• Perform performance analysis and optimization to improve KPIs and efficiency.
• Support products through release cycles including testing, validation, and deployment.
