Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority seeks a Wireless Core Engineer Sr to architect and guard the LTE EPC and 5GC SA core functions for a private network serving critical Texas infrastructure. You will own live-core operations, manage traces, MOPs, configurations, and upgrades, and drive RCA and KPI initiatives.

The role focuses on roaming, provisioning, and expansion of the private network, with an emphasis on high availability, security, and isolation within CNIS/NFVI.

Qualifications

• Nine+ years of experience in network architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, or network systems design.
• Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field degree (or substitution per guidelines).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Ericsson EPC CUPS stack on CNIS/NFVI (PCC, PCG, CCDM, CCSM, CCPC, CCRC, EM, EDA2).
• Capture and analyze traces (GTP-C/U, PFCP/Sx, Diameter, S1-MME/S1-U, NAS) and close RCA on attach, session, and failures.
• Author, validate, and execute MOPs for configuration updates and RAN additions with regression testing.
• Provision SIMs and subscribers; build and maintain private APNs.
• Monitor KPIs and alarms and support the NOC as the Ericsson core SME.
