Job summary

McGinley Manufacturing in Glenrock, Wyoming is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our precision shop. You will lead, program, and optimize complex 5-axis CNC operations, while mentoring junior machinists and driving quality through tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of CNC experience, expert GD&T skills, and a proven ability to translate prints into efficient, high-quality production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Extensive CNC programming experience.
• Strong 5-axis CNC machining experience.
• Advanced knowledge of tooling, fixturing, workholding, speeds and feeds, and machining strategies.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machining centers, with a strong emphasis on 5-axis machining.
• Develop and optimize CNC programs, tooling strategies, workholding, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
• Troubleshoot complex machining, tooling, programming, and quality issues.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Produce complex, tight-tolerance precision components while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Improve cycle times, setup times, tool life, and overall machining performance.
• Assist other machinists with technical challenges, setups, and programming.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and manufacturing leadership to improve processes.
• Support continuous improvement, automation, and increased machine utilization.
• Help develop and mentor machinists while contributing to a strong, team-oriented shop environment.
