Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California, is seeking a CNC Machinist III to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for aircraft and military components. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced shop environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC machining experience (3-5 axis), blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work onsite with PPE.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in CNC Machining 3-4-5 axis.
• Must be able to speak/read/write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and wear PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Strong focus on SAFETY FIRST.
• Operate CNC Mill and Lathe machines for aircraft/military components.
• Set-up tools and prove out CNC programs as needed.
• Utilize ERP system to record labor hours and production quantity.
• Edit in MDI; preferred with Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Siemens controllers.
• Suggest process improvements to Leads/Supervisor.
• Perform standard shop computations: dimensions, tooling, speeds and feeds.
