Job summary

The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, is seeking a CNC Machinist III to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for aircraft and military components.

Responsibilities include working with 5-axis technology, tool design, and program proofing on Mazak/Okuma/Fanuc/Siemens controls, while maintaining strict safety and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in CNC Machining 3-4-5 axis.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to speak/read/write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Safety Shoes and Safety Glasses required at all times.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mill and Lathe for aircraft/military components.
• Edit in MDI; familiar with Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Siemens controllers.
• Set-up tools and prove out CNC programs; use ERP to record labor hours and production quantity.
• Promote lean, Kaizen and 6S; support continuous improvement.
