Job summary

Marvin Engineering Co. in Inglewood, CA seeks a CNC Machinist II to set up and operate vertical, horizontal, and 5-axis mills and lathes for aircraft and military components.

Candidate should have 3–5 years of machining experience, be able to read complex blueprints, and demonstrate fixture/setup knowledge. Proficiency with Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, OKK and MS Office is expected. This is an onsite role emphasizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a machining environment.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Knowledge of fixturing and tooling, and machine setups.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up Vertical, Horizontal, 5-axis Mills/Lathes with minimal supervision.
• Read complex blueprints and manufacturing sketches.
• Maintain quality of parts to blueprint requirements.
• Record labor hours and production quantities in ERP.
• Meet established cycle times and maintain safety and housekeeping.
• Perform standard shop computations and support process improvements.
• Follow lean and 6S concepts; adhere to safety and FOD procedures.
