Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. 3GPP Standardization Engineer for Starlink Mobile to lead 3GPP RAN2 and RAN3 activities, present and defend contributions, and align standards with product and regulatory goals.

You will work with operators, chipset vendors, and regulatory bodies, manage timelines across Releases, and translate standards into engineering requirements; travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in STEM fields required.
• 6+ years experience in cellular RAN design and/or system architecture.
• 4+ years experience with 3GPP standardization.
• Advanced degree preferred in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Act as expert in 3GPP RAN2 and RAN3 Working Groups.
• Present, negotiate, and defend company contributions to standards.
• Build relationships with 3GPP members, operators, and regulators.
• Draft, review, and submit contributions on 5G/6G topics and NR/NTN.
• Translate 3GPP outcomes into actionable engineering requirements.
