Job summary

Formlabs seeks a Senior 3D Print Optimization Engineer in Boston, MA to push the capabilities of SLA and SLS printing. You will architect optimization methodologies and design experiments that improve printer performance across materials, hardware, and software.

You will collaborate across disciplines, analyze root causes, and drive solutions that deliver faster, more reliable, and higher-quality prints for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in test design where results impact product performance.
  • Shipped a product or process to end users.
  • Able to work autonomously and cross-disciplinary boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Push SLA & SLS platform capabilities.
  • Architect 3D printing optimization methodologies for better performance.
  • Design efficient experiments to reveal behavior in a multi-variable system.
  • Tackle multi-disciplinary problems across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, and thermodynamics.

We are a collaborative team, with a diverse background, passionate about pushing the boundaries of print performance across our product lines.As a 3D Print Optimization Engineer, you will be continuously using your problem-solving skills to drive improved performance.We are customer focused, and the first step in tackling the problem is understanding what the performance boost we are trying to achieve and how many customers will benefit. Will customers be able to print parts faster? More reliability? Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization.The annual base pay range for this role is:$115,000—$148,000 USD
