Job summary

American Real Estate Partners LLC is seeking a Lead Recruiter to drive a true 360 recruiting process across AREP portfolios. You will work with HR and leadership to define requirements, build pipelines, and manage candidates from first contact to offer.

The role requires 8+ years in full-cycle recruiting (construction focus preferred) and a track record of partnering with senior stakeholders. This hybrid role is based in McLean, VA, reporting to the VP of HR.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a 360 recruiting desk with 10+ open roles concurrently.
• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• 3+ years recruiting in the Construction industry.
• Experience recruiting for hyperscaler builds and mission-critical industries is strongly encouraged.
• Strong collaboration with hiring managers and senior leadership stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver a best-in-class candidate experience.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruitment for all assigned requisitions, supporting timely placement of high-quality candidates across entry-level through senior leadership roles.
• Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to define role requirements and shape recruiting plans aligned to business goals.
• Manage end-to-end candidate relationships to deliver a seamless, engaging experience from first contact through offer acceptance.
• Collaborate proactively with a Talent Sourcer and recruiting peers to build and maintain a qualified pipeline for current and future openings.
• Track and apply data-driven recruiting insights using key metrics to improve recruiting strategy.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment by setting clear priorities and delivering results amid shifting requirements.
• Align hiring expectations with stakeholders and provide updates on hiring status while identifying bottlenecks.
• Ensure recruiting practices remain compliant and follow industry best practices, while reaching candidates from all backgrounds using a data-informed approach.
• Work with the HR team to align recruiting strategy with broader organizational goals and support smooth onboarding for new hires.
• Partner with the Vice President of Human Resources on agency selection and other Talent initiatives.
