Job summary

Complete Logistical Services is seeking a 1600 Ton Chief Engineer for a contract role, to oversee the engine room and vessel systems. You will lead the engine crew, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and manage maintenance and documentation across operations.

Responsibilities include supervising repairs, coordinating with shore teams and the captain, and controlling budgets for spares and equipment while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold MMC with endorsements relevant to 1600 Ton Chief Engineer.
• Current USCG Medical Certificate with valid dates.
• Chief Engineer Unlimited rating with OICEW endorsement.
• VPDSD certification and basic safety training.
• Water Survival/T-HUET or equivalent offshore training (BOSIET/FOET).
• TWIC card and API-RP-2D compliant rigging certification.
• GMT/GA safety and maritime regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of all shipboard mechanical and electrical systems.
• Manage engine room crew and delegate maintenance tasks for safety and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with marine regulations and environmental laws.
• Supervise repairs and coordinate with shore-based teams for critical issues.
• Maintain records of engine hours, inspections, and maintenance per policy.
• Coordinate with captain and deck officers to align engine dept. with missions.
