Qualifications
- MMC with endorsements for 1600-Ton Master/Mate.
- USCG Medical Certificate, medical fitness for duty at sea.
- Water Survival certification including T-HUET/BOSIET/FOET.
- Rigging certification per API-RP-2D standard.
- TWIC for access to secure facilities.
- Training like Safegulf/PEC/Rig Pass for safety compliance.
- Experience operating vessels up to 1600 gross tons; knowledge of maritime law.
Responsibilities
- Navigate and operate vessels up to 1600 gross tons.
- Plan routes and monitor weather for safe navigation.
- Supervise docking/undocking and towing operations safely.
- Maintain logs of vessel operations and equipment status.
- Coordinate with marine engineers to resolve onboard issues.
- Report maintenance needs to management promptly.
