Job summary

Stemmle Plumbing Repair is seeking an experienced 12-Volt Technician / Mechanic to join our Service Shop team in Midlothian, VA. This role supports and maintains a fleet of more than 200 company vehicles and requires expertise in advanced electrical installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with 12-volt electrical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid mechanical background.

Qualifications

Proven experience with 12-volt automotive electrical systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Install and integrate advanced 12-volt systems and aftermarket accessories.
Perform complex electrical troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
Install and service fleet GPS and tracking devices, dash cameras, safety and strobe lighting, reverse cameras, Bluetooth accessories, power inverters.
Utilize diagnostic equipment, including ohmmeters, tablets, laptops, and vehicle scan tools.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and automotive systems.
Assist with mechanical repairs and maintenance, including brakes and general vehicle service work.
Ensure all installations and repairs meet company quality, safety, and reliability standards.
