Job summary

Stemmle Plumbing Repair is seeking an experienced 12-Volt Technician / Mechanic to join our Service Shop team in Midlothian, VA. This role supports and maintains a fleet of more than 200 company vehicles and requires expertise in advanced electrical installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with 12-volt electrical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid mechanical background.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with 12-volt automotive electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and integrate advanced 12-volt systems and aftermarket accessories.
• Perform complex electrical troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Install and service fleet GPS and tracking devices, dash cameras, safety and strobe lighting, reverse cameras, Bluetooth accessories, power inverters.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, including ohmmeters, tablets, laptops, and vehicle scan tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and automotive systems.
• Assist with mechanical repairs and maintenance, including brakes and general vehicle service work.
• Ensure all installations and repairs meet company quality, safety, and reliability standards.
