Job summary

Cheshire East Council seeks a dedicated SEND professional to manage a caseload of children and young people, developing and maintaining EHCPs across the Local Authority. You will collaborate with families, schools and professionals to secure the right support for each individual to thrive.

The role involves attending annual reviews, sourcing placements with providers, and delivering high-quality statutory assessments to make a real difference in children’s lives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people, working with families, schools and professionals to ensure appropriate support.
  • Develop and maintain Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across the Local Authority for SEND.
  • Attend annual reviews and amend plans as required.
  • Liaise with childcare, education or vocational providers to source suitable placements.
  • Contribute to high-quality statutory assessments and EHCP development.

Job description

You will manage a caseload of children and young people, working closely with families, schools, and professionals to ensure the right support is in place for every individual to thrive. You will be required to development and maintain Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) across the Local Authority for Children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Maintaining a caseload of children with EHCPs and attend annual reviews to amend plans as required. Liaise with providers of childcare, education or vocational provision to source appropriate placements for children and young people with EHCP.
