Job summary

SUPPORT EDUCATION AND RESPITE CARE FOR CHILDREN is seeking a Mediation Advisor to join our remote SEN Mediation Service. You will support families, young people, education providers and authorities through the mediation process, coordinating meetings and maintaining case records with impartial, supportive guidance.

Location is homebased with occasional team meetings and training; 36 hours per week. Salary is £24,864 per annum, with full training provided and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy workload in a confidential environment.
• Highly organised with strong administrative and planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of contact for families and professionals with care and professionalism.
• Provide clear, impartial information about the SEND mediation process.
• Coordinate mediation meetings and information sessions, manage appointments and deadlines.
• Communicate with all parties throughout the mediation process and provide timely follow-up.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records using case management systems.
• Support individuals facing distress or conflict with empathy and sensitivity.
• Make informed decisions in line with policies and SEND Mediation framework.
• Assist wider team with administration, reporting and service improvement.
• Participate in regular team meetings, supervision and professional development.
