Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to work hands-on in a cleanroom environment, building and testing multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. You will assemble, repair and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic components, and document all steps as part of process improvements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years in semiconductor or display environments, with ability to follow SOPs and use basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma with basic technical aptitude.
• 1–2 years in semiconductor or display industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test equipment including electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Audit received parts for availability and defects, and document progress.
• Use test fixtures, measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps for testing.
• Complete job documentation and install software or perform repairs as needed.
