Job summary

Entegris in Danbury, CT is seeking a Research and Development Engineer/Scientist Co-Op for the Spring 2027 season. This 6-month assignment involves working with a team to develop and characterize new products for semiconductor manufacturing, including safe packaging and delivery of gases used in ion implant processes.

You will design equipment for experiments, automate processes, develop SOPs, and document activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student in good academic standing (GPA 3.0+).
• Collaborative team player with hands-on lab interests.
• Experience with solids and/or lab instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop equipment for experimental setups to prove concepts.
• Automate processes to improve repeatability and data collection.
• Develop SOPs for analytical equipment.
• Identify suppliers to procure materials and equipment.
• Organize documentation to improve development efficiency.
• Maintain R&D documentation including data logging and processing.
