Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Process Engineering Technician in Hillsboro, Oregon to perform technical tests and experiments for semiconductor processing and to operate metrology tools. You will prepare records and graphs of results and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities include adjusting hardware and software parameters, minor equipment maintenance, and documentation.

Qualifications

3–4 years of semiconductor processing experience in thin film deposition or etch is preferred but not required.
Skilled in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills; self-starter with hands-on ability.

Responsibilities

Perform technical tests and experiments for Process Engineering, including setup and operation of metrology and supporting tools.
Prepare records, charts, and graphs of test results.
Operate metrology tools (TEM, Dual Beam, light microscopes, sputtering tools) to qualify process equipment.
Adjust hardware/software parameters to correct issues or execute experiments.
Work with cross‑functional engineering teams to troubleshoot process problems.
Perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance on process equipment.
