Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Microelectronic Technician in Apopka, FL. Responsibilities include operating semiconductor processing equipment, performing deposition, etching, and metrology tasks, and ensuring process quality with engineering collaboration.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED with 2+ years electronics work experience or an Associate's degree in a related STEM field.
2 years in manufacturing and/or 1 year in semiconductor (cleanroom) manufacturing.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Operate fabrication equipment for processing semiconductor materials and devices per process docs, including deposition, evaporation, etching, plating, wafer dicing/thinning, and adjustments.
Inspect processes (resist/develop, photo exposure, metallization, etching) to assess quality and discuss improvements with engineers.
Interpret SPC charts to respond to out-of-control conditions and prepare reports.
Place lots on hold per engineering guidance, manage MES documentation, and perform gage R&R studies.
Handle wafers in FOUPs and manipulate them with appropriate tooling.
