Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a production operator to set up, operate, and maintain Maltz process equipment, preparing high-purity semiconductor compounds and supporting quality control procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a two-year technical degree preferred, and at least two years of manufacturing experience; candidates with high-purity materials and furnace experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates Maltz equipment and performs tasks per work instructions.
• Adheres to safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Follows EHS procedures for hazardous materials.
• Works in a team to optimize Maltz output with high quality and minimal scrap.
• Follows quality control procedures and reports production data.
• Ensures equipment runs properly and performs light PMs as required.
• Collaborates with engineering/maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and quality deviations.
• Weighs materials, makes process batches, and loads/unloads furnaces.
• Maintains environment to prevent cross-contamination and completes daily pass-downs.
