Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a confident Scientist I with semiconductor processing experience to join our R&D team in Dallas, TX. The role emphasizes hands-on work in photolithography, thin films, etch, and wet processing in a cleanroom environment to advance detector fabrication for infrared sensors.

You will lead experimental plans, collaborate with materials science and device physics teams, and contribute to device characterization while guiding project direction. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
  • 2+ years in semiconductor device processing and process engineering.
  • Knowledge of etch, thin films, metrology, and wet/dry cleans.
  • Ability to analyze data related to device performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to communicate to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run DOEs; establish methods to sustain and improve processes.
  • Learn new process tools; identify gaps and provide solutions.
  • Identify processing conditions to meet device design goals.
  • Understand and analyze process yield and yield analysis.
  • Communicate complex concepts with engineers and scientists for project success.
  • Plan and execute experiments; analyze inputs/outputs and results.
  • Collaborate on multi-disciplinary project teams; share findings.
  • Present results to peers and management; maintain thorough documentation.
  • Take ownership and accountability for tasks.
