Leonardo DRS is looking for a confident, highly motivated Scientist with semiconductor processing and project management experience to join our Research and Development team. We are looking for a strong candidate with experience in a variety of processing areas such as photolithography, mask layout, thin film deposition, etch, and wet processing. The candidate should have experience and knowledge of how processes interact in device fabrication and be able to learn new tools and processes from both a fundamental and practical level. This is a hands on role, largely in the cleanroom, where the candidate will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing semiconductor processes to meet R&D goals and objectives. As a Scientist, you will be an integral part of DRS’ new product and technology development efforts in infrared sensors. You will interface with other team members representing a wide range of disciplines, including material science, process engineering, device physics, test engineering, and system design. You will have hands on responsibility for specialized semiconductor device process integration, semiconductor fabrication process development, new detector fabrication, experimental design, and device characterization. In addition, you will be the technical and/or project lead on critical development projects guiding both technical direction as well as coordination of key technical resources.
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
