Job summary

SemiConX in Dayton, TX is seeking a QA/QC Inspector for process piping inspections and testing. You will verify welds, fit-ups, and pipe integrity, review drawings and specs, and ensure traceability of materials throughout fabrication and installation.

Candidates should hold CWI and Level II VT, OSHA 30, and have strong knowledge of ASME/API standards with excellent documentation skills for audits and turnover.

Qualifications

• CWI certification is required.
• Level II VT certification is required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is required.
• Demonstrated QA/QC experience with process piping systems.
• Working knowledge of ASME, API standards; ability to read piping isometrics and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of WPS/PQR requirements and material traceability.

Responsibilities

• Execute QA/QC inspections on process piping to verify compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Perform VT examinations to evaluate welds, fit-up, finishes, and pipe integrity.
• Interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, welding procedures, and material certifications.
• Confirm welder qualifications and that work follows approved WPS requirements.
• Review ITPs and document all inspections and tests.
• Verify material traceability and maintain MTR documentation.
• Witness hydro/pneumatic pressure testing per project criteria.
• Maintain inspection reports and nonconformance documentation; drive corrective actions.
