Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a semiconductor process engineer to help develop, characterize, and optimize wafer fabrication across modules including lithography, etch, metallization, deposition, and anneal.

You will create SOPs, recipes, and SPC, and support transfers of new device flows into production. You will collaborate with senior engineers on process stability, yield enhancements, and defect reduction, while developing control plans and OCAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related technical field.
• At least 3 years of semiconductor process engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, characterizing, and optimizing wafer fabrication processes across modules such as lithography, wet or dry etch, metallization, deposition, and anneal.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, process recipes, and SPC.
• Support process transfers and integration of new device flows into production.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on process stability, yield enhancement, and defect reduction.
• Characterize/optimize process and develop control plan and OCAP.
• Work on developing continuous improvement processes/activities to reduce scrap, improve process capability, reduce cost as well as decrease cycle time.
• Responsible for designing/executing engineering experiments.
• Responsible for writing process specification documentation.
