Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. The role involves data collection, hardware characterization, troubleshooting, and documentation while engaging with customers and partners to implement new solutions.

You will collaborate with R&D teams and vendors, perform performance measurements, and contribute to state-of-the-art manufacturing projects in a globally leading organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on complex process engineering experiments under safety guidelines.
• Perform hardware characterization on diverse systems.
• Troubleshoot complex process engineering issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
• Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations and reports.
• Interact with customers to resolve process engineering issues with limited supervision.
• Measure film properties and interpret data.
• Identify and work with vendors and suppliers with limited supervision.
• Implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation.
• Lead projects and mentor junior colleagues when needed.
