Job summary

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions. We are seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies, collect data, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues.

You will collaborate with vendors and customers, generate technical documentation, and work with our R&D teams on cutting‑edge projects, enabling state‑of‑the‑art research and manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• MS or Doctorate in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Available to start full-time from October 2026 to January 2027.
• Experience in semiconductor fab or equipment industry.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, analyze, and compile reports on basic process engineering experiments.
• Perform hardware characterization on basic systems.
• Troubleshoot problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve basic process engineering issues.
• Measure film properties and organize data/reports for review.
• Generate internal documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports.
• Communicate and engage with customers to resolve basic process engineering issues or concerns, under direct supervision.
• Work with vendor and suppliers, under direct supervision.
• Become familiar with the process of implementing new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
