Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. You will collect data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues, while collaborating with customers and vendors to resolve challenges.

You will generate technical documentation, measure film properties, and participate in cross-functional teams across R&D and product lines to drive innovation.

• Process engineering experience in manufacturing for display and semiconductor tech.
• Ability to measure film properties and analyze data.
• Strong problem solving and collaboration with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Leads practical applications of scientific theory and unusually complex processes in the development and ongoing technical management of the unit's product line
• Leads research, development and implementation in new products and extensions or enhancements to existing product line
• Interact with key customers to resolve unusually complex process engineering issues for the unit's product line to address our customers High Value Problems (HVP)
• Leads alpha engineering program regarding all process technology related issues for the units product line
• Responsible for alpha and beta product release for business unit's product line
• Participates in strategic planning to integrate research and development processes with both the unit and the Product Business Group's overall business plan
• Identify, select and work with vendors and suppliers
