Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT is seeking process engineering interns to sustain and run the fab floor, tackling equipment and process issues. You will lead an intern project and present results at an end-of-year poster session.

Applicants should be a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong English skills, and availability to work 40 hours per week during the internship.

Qualifications

• Sophomore status at application; pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field during internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• English language fluency (written & verbal).
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the equipment quality control plan.
• Drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
• Define and maintain equipment installation process qualification or installation roadmaps.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize manufacturing processes to meet tech and manufacturing targets.
• Perform internship project work and present final results at year-end poster session.
