Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT is offering a process engineering internship focused on sustaining and running the fab floor, resolving equipment and process issues. You will lead an intern project and share results at an end-of-year poster session.

As a sophomore pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science, you will gain hands-on experience, implement improvements for throughput, cost, and yield, and present findings in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Eligible as sophomore during internship and pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• English language fluency (written & verbal)
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the equipment quality control plan.
• Drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
• Define and maintain equipment installation qualification roadmaps.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize manufacturing processes.
