Job summary

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer for its North Kingstown, RI facility to support advanced photopolymer materials in semiconductor applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in materials science, specialty chemicals, semiconductor materials, or a related industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret experimental data and identify technical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for technical data analysis in presentations.
• Must be able to travel up to 20% to support customer meetings, product qualifications, and technical collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, commercial, manufacturing, and business teams to develop and commercialize new photopolymer products for semiconductor applications.
• Design, execute, and document laboratory experiments to evaluate material performance and support product development activities
• Support customer qualification efforts by preparing technical data packages, analyzing application results, and assisting with product evaluations
• Investigate product performance concerns and participate in root cause analysis to identify technical solutions and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Analyze experimental data and communicate findings through technical reports, presentations, and customer-facing documentation
• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements, explain product performance, and support successful implementation of commercial products
• Support new product introductions by providing technical expertise throughout development, qualification, and commercialization activities
• Maintain accurate lab records, technical documentation, and test procedures while ensuring compliance with company quality and safety standards
• Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously while meeting project timelines and customer expectations
