Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a hands-on wafer fabrication technician in the New York area. You will operate and routinely qualify equipment across photolithography, etch, CVD, PVD, and metrology, while handling wafer logistics and ensuring timely movement through the fab.

You must be able to stand for 6 hours, wear clean room attire, lift up to 25 pounds, and multitask across multiple screens. The role requires independent work and performing under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for 6 hours at a time.
• Basic computer skills including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to multitask using multiple computer screens at the same time.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, as well as under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and routinely qualify equipment in semiconductor process areas (photolithography, etch, CVD, PVD, metrology, etc).
• Perform logistic tasks such as wafer unpacking, releasing to process, and packing for shipment.
• Maintain a presence in the Operations Command Center and monitor operating data to optimize wafer movement.
