Job summary

Semtech Colorado is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve quality systems for wafer-level and flip-chip assembly operations. The role leads corrective actions, owns site data, Smartsheet trackers, and training, in a permanent, full-time semiconductor environment.

The candidate will lead cross-functional meetings, drive continuous improvement, and ensure on-time containment and shipment release with a systems mindset and strong automation/data skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Two+ years in manufacturing, product development, or quality engineering; semiconductor/electronics preferred.
• Advanced Smartsheet proficiency with sheets and workflows.
• Strong 8D/root cause analysis skills (5-Why, fishbone, fault tree).
• Familiarity with SPC, Cpk, AIAG Core Tools, and ISO 9001/QMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead Corrective Action & Problem Solving using 8D and root cause analysis.
• Own quality procedures and ~20 operating procedures (IQC, OQC, RTR, QA, SMT).
• Administer Smartsheet environment including CAR/CAR Audit, CIP, PAR trackers.
• Build automated systems and dashboards to reduce manual tracking (Smartsheet, Tableau).
• Maintain ISO 9001 QMS and support transition to IATF 16949.
• Act as engineering verification point for outgoing shipments and documentation.
