Job summary

WD is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance professional in California to perform routine and preventative maintenance on semiconductor tool sets. You will troubleshoot issues, collaborate with engineers and vendors, and drive reliability improvements while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a strong foundation in pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical disciplines, plus hands-on maintenance experience with major semiconductor tools.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electronics, industrial manufacturing, and/or equivalent relevant experience
• Two years or more of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance in semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing
• Strong foundation in pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical disciplines
• Experience with semiconductor tools such as AMAT Endura, Veeco, Novellus, Canon Anelva, ASML, Nikon, KLA, DNS, Wet Etch and CMP tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to read complex schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals
• Able to comply with safety and clean room protocols

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on tool sets and ensures tools operate within specification
• Troubleshoots and resolves tool issues quickly to maximize uptime
• Collaborates with engineering, vendors, and other groups to improve tool reliability and yield
• Prepares data for daily/weekly pass-down meetings
• Reads schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals and repair guides
• Suggests improvements to processes for continuous improvement
• Responds to inquiries from team members and management
• Follows all safety and clean room policies
• Performs other duties of a similar nature
