Job summary

Motion Recruitment's client, a leading semiconductor packaging and testing provider, is hiring a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join their team in a brand-new facility in Peoria, AZ. This role focuses on configuring, integrating, and deploying automated manufacturing systems, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to build scalable, reliable factory operations from the ground up.

You will participate in design reviews, maintain master data, troubleshoot issues, and support data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing IT or semiconductor manufacturing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with MES, CIM/EAP/RMS, automation, logistics, or quality systems (SPC, FDC).
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
  • Experience supporting production manufacturing systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, test, and support MES and related manufacturing systems.
  • Integrate MES with CIM/EAP, automation systems (AMHS/OHT), quality systems, and enterprise platforms (ERP).
  • Manage system interfaces and data flows (lot tracking, WIP, recipes, dispatching logic).
  • Maintain manufacturing master data (process flows, equipment, materials, recipes).
  • Troubleshoot system issues impacting manufacturing operations and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with vendors (e.g., AMAT) and cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, IT, automation).
  • Participate in system design reviews and requirement definition.
  • Document system functionality, enhancements, and procedures.

Job description

Our client, one of the largest semiconductor packaging and testing providers in the US, is hiring a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join their team in their brand-new facility located in Peoria, AZ.

This role is primarily focused on system configuration, integration, and deployment of automated manufacturing equipment, rather than software development. The engineer will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and manufacturing stakeholders to build and scale highly automated, reliable factory systems from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a greenfield semiconductor facility and play a key role in shaping next-generation manufacturing systems.

Required Skills:
