Job summary

Semtech Colorado (Federal Location) seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve quality systems for wafer-level and flip chip assembly operations. The role includes corrective action leadership, data management in Smartsheet, inspection procedures, and outgoing shipment release.

A systems mindset, automation skills, and cross-functional leadership are essential for this permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2+ years in manufacturing, product development, or quality engineering; semiconductor preferred.
Advanced Smartsheet proficiency for site-wide sheets, dashboards, and automations.
Experience with 8D, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, APQP and ISO 9001.
Strong communication, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead corrective action and problem solving using 8D and root cause analysis.
Own quality procedures and ~20 operating procedures (IQC, OQC, RTR, QAE, SMT, etc.) and training management.
Administer and improve site quality data systems (Smartsheet trackers, dashboards, automations).
Develop and publish quality KPIs and weekly metrics (Tableau or alternatives).
Oversee inspection, shipment release, and customer requirement tracking; support RMA processes.
Support ISO 9001 QMS and transition to IATF 16949; participate in audits.
