Job summary

GlobalFoundries’ Fab 9 in Essex Junction, VT seeks process engineering interns to sustain and run the fab floor, resolving equipment and process issues. You will lead an intern project and present outcomes at year-end poster session.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a chemical engineering (or related) degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, English fluency, and availability to work 40 hours per week during the internship. Prior related internships and leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education – A junior at time of application pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the equipment quality control plan.
• Drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
• Define and maintain equipment installation process qualification or roadmaps.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize manufacturing processes.
