Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking process engineering interns to sustain and run the fab floor, tackling equipment and process issues and leading an intern project toward year-end poster presentation. You will receive mentoring, hands-on assignments, and development opportunities as part of our internship program designed to build foundational semiconductor manufacturing skills.

This role requires sophomore status, a 3.0 GPA, English proficiency, and availability to work 40 hours

Qualifications

• Education – Sophomore in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field during internship.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• English language proficiency (written and verbal).
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the equipment quality control plan.
• Drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
• Define and maintain equipment installation process qualification or roadmaps.
• Design and analyze experiments to screen and optimize manufacturing processes for performance, yield, and reliability.
• Follow safety, environmental, and security requirements.
