Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for complex semiconductor equipment. You will collaborate with Operations, Design Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, cost targets, and product quality.

The role emphasizes lean practices, problem-solving, and structured improvement through PFMEA, CAPA, and data analysis while supporting new product introductions and tooling optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years in manufacturing, production, or NPI environments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and engineering docs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, flows, and work sequences for parts and final assemblies.
  • Support transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing for manufacturability and cost targets.
  • Lead and engage in ECOs, process changes, and updated work instructions.
