Job summary

UCT in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production build of complex systems on the shop floor. The role requires planning, evaluating, and applying manufacturing techniques while ensuring adherence to build and quality standards.

You will develop SOEs, assembly workflows, and training materials, coordinating with engineering, customers, and vendors. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in high-tech manufacturing or semiconductor-related environments, solid Excel and ERP

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science/BA in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Manufacturing, or related field preferred with 2 years of experience in related manufacturing/ production position.
AA in a technical field with more than 5 years of manufacturing experience.
Experience in high-technology manufacturing or semiconductor capital equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Creates Manufacturing ready documentation such as SOEs (Sequence of Events) and Assembly Process Workflow.
Provides technical direction and on-the-job training to production staff.
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates the Manufacturing Engineer portion of the system build.
Prepares and/or modifies work instructions, BOM structures, and training curriculum.
Ensures proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects.
Contacts with Customers, vendor representatives and participates in Customer meetings.
Discusses best practices to streamline build processes and procedures.
Inspects completed systems and ensures conformance to design and safety standards.
Supports project production efforts to meet schedule and budget.
Investigates issues and recommends corrective actions.
Assists in cost estimation and capital project development for new equipment.
