Job summary

UCT in Hayward, CA is seeking an Engineer III to join our high-technology manufacturing team. You will lead the development of manufacturing documentation, process workflows, and system builds to support precision production environments.

This role coordinates cross-functional teams, conducts technical reviews, and drives continuous improvement to deliver reliable, scalable manufacturing solutions while ensuring quality, safety and cost control.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Manufacturing, or related field preferred with 2 years of related experience; or AA with >5 years manufacturing experience.
Experience in high-technology manufacturing environments, esp. semiconductor capital equipment.

Responsibilities

Create and revise manufacturing documentation including SOEs and assembly process workflows.
Provide technical direction and hands-on training to production staff.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering support for system builds.
Prepare and update work instructions, BOM structures, and training materials.
Facilitate interdisciplinary communication across project teams.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure systems meet design, safety, and operational standards.
