Coherent Corp. is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) film growth in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role suits those with lab, manufacturing, or engineering backgrounds who enjoy precision equipment, data collection, and process-driven production.

Training will occur at Hillsborough, NJ for 6–9 months and may require 1–6 weeks of Mon-Fri training. After training, the position transfers to Easton, PA with supplemental compensation for training

Qualifikationen

• Minimum: HS diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate degree in a technical/engineering/scientific field.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a technical, scientific, or mechanical field.
• Experience in a laboratory environment and good lab practices.
• Experience with precision measurement methods and systems.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Access; Oracle is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Record and monitor temperatures of furnaces.
• Weigh chemicals for additions and new melts.
• Mount substrates and etch as needed.
• Load and dip wafers into furnaces.
• Program and terminate growth cycles.
• Measure weight, thickness, and warp of wafers.
• Perform data analysis.
• Prepare furnaces for new melts.
• Enter data using Access.
• Minor troubleshooting of furnace system/software.
• Handle acids.
• Support other production processes as needed.
