Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Production Engineer to develop and optimize the Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) process at our Easton, PA facility. The role involves hands-on production tasks, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements.

Initial training will occur at our Hillsborough, NJ facility for 6–8 months. This is a day-shift, Mon-Fri position with safety and environmental standards aligned to ISO practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering is required.
• Preferred Degrees in Mechanical or Materials Engineering enhance candidacy.
• Experience with CAD, Excel, Word and Access is expected.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills are essential.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and handle chemicals/acids is required.

Responsibilities

• Help with all production tasks associated with the LPE process.
• Perform crystal growth analysis.
• Dumping/make new production melts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues with LPE equipment.
• Assist with product improvement/development.
• Prepare and present technical reports.
