Job summary

The Fountain Group in Austin, TX seeks a skilled analyst to support semiconductor manufacturing through SEM imaging and EDS analysis. You will independently manage routine analytical tasks, respond to production priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement alongside engineers to identify root causes and ensure product quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SEM/FIB experience and a background in semiconductor lab environments, with degrees in related technical fields.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related technical field; equivalent semiconductor lab experience may be considered.
• Experience working in an analytical laboratory environment is a plus.
• Hands-on SEM and FIB operation experience preferred.
• Experience analyzing semiconductor structures, thin films, particles, cracks, voids, contamination, or defects is a plus.
• Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and structured problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Support semiconductor manufacturing, process verification, and defect analysis using SEM imagery and EDS.
• Independently manage routine analytical work and respond to production priorities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and root-cause analysis with engineers to ensure product quality.
