Job summary

Lam Research in Oregon seeks a Laboratory Service Engineer to maintain and upgrade equipment in the applications lab. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and documentation, contributing to the development of next‑generation semiconductor hardware.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, including process development and software engineering, and support prototype equipment installation with clear prioritization and safety practices in a hybrid on‑site/remote model.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5+ years of related experience, or an associate degree with 7+ years.
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating lab equipment in an R&D setting.
Ability to handle hazardous materials with proper PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on lab equipment in an R&D environment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electro‑mechanical, electronic, and vacuum systems.
Install prototype equipment and develop accompanying procedures and documentation.
Collaborate with process development, hardware, and software engineers on projects and demos.
Maintain clear, proactive communication to prioritize tasks and timelines.
