Job summary
Lam Research in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Laboratory Service Engineer to maintain and upgrade equipment in our applications lab. You will be hands-on with state-of-the-art systems, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and installation of prototype equipment.
You will collaborate with process development, hardware and software engineering on R&D activities and provide documentation and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5+ years of experience; or Associates with 7+ years.
- Equivalent military training with relevant technical experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, electro-mechanical, fluidic, and vacuum systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibrations on equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and vacuum systems.
- Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials with required PPE.
- Collaborate with process development, hardware, and software engineering on R&D activities.
- Install and support prototype equipment, developing procedures and documentation.
- Balance priorities across tasks with clear, proactive communication.
