Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. in Fremont, CA seeks an on-site engineer to support development of a new product by modifying prototype equipment and documenting procedures for R&D activities. The role involves hands-on maintenance and calibration in a fast-paced environment.

You will troubleshoot electronics and mechanical assemblies, read schematics and P&ID, and independently solve problems to keep prototypes advancing toward production.

Qualifications

• Experience with Semiconductor Capital Equipment
• Strong Electro-mechanical background
• Experience with Helium Leak Checking for vacuum systems
• Able to troubleshoot both electronics and mechanical assemblies
• Able to read schematics, P&ID, procedures and assembly instructions
• Must be able to solve problems independently

Responsibilities

• Support development of a new product by modifying and maintaining prototype equipment and help develop procedures and documentation as needed in support of design and R&D activities which likely have little or no written procedures.
• Perform Preventative and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot and calibrate new equipment
• Install new tool and retrofit existing tools
