Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a college intern to join the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) in Andover, MA. The role focuses on semiconductor device fabrication, from lithography to deposition and etch, with opportunities to learn from seasoned engineers in a defense-focused environment.

You will gain hands-on experience in wafer processing, optical/SEM imaging, and failure analysis while contributing to AMSD projects and gaining exposure to cutting-edge compound semiconductor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• Minimum of 30 credit hours by the start of the internship session.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cleanroom environment.
• Handle GaAs and GaN wafers.
• Assist with lithography, deposition, and etch processes.
• Perform and document optical microscope inspections.
• Perform scanning electron microscope imaging, failure analysis and data analysis.

Education

Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a STEM field

Internship Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a college intern to join our semiconductor foundry team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

What You Will Do

• Work in a cleanroom environment

Salary

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
