Job summary

RTX is seeking a college intern to join the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) in Andover, MA. The role focuses on wafer fabrication and semiconductor processing, including handling GaAs and GaN wafers, lithography, deposition, and etching steps.

An exciting opportunity exists for a college intern to join our semiconductor foundry team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

What You Will Do:

• Work in a cleanroom environment
• Handle GaAs and GaN wafers
• Assist with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes
• Perform and document optical microscope inspections
• Perform scanning electron microscope imaging

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• Must have a Minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship session

• Interest in semiconductor processing

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
