Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel up to 75% to customer facilities across the West Coast to install, support, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing systems. The role involves on-site service, preventive maintenance, and hands-on repairs, with weekend home time when not traveling.

Responsibilities include installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documenting service activities while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating and performing repairs and preventative maintenance in a semiconductor manufacturing or other similar industry.
• HS Diploma or Technical School (Associates Preferred)
• Ability to wear a respirator

Responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment at customer sites throughout the West Coast.
• Perform equipment setup, testing, calibration, and verification following approved procedures and technical documentation.
• Lead preventative maintenance inspections and perform corrective maintenance and major equipment repairs.
• Perform scheduled system maintenance based on customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, and equipment-related issues.
• Diagnose equipment failures and support technically complex repairs in the field.
• Install equipment upgrades and modifications according to approved work instructions and documentation.
• Read and follow technical drawings, schematics, procedures, manuals, and work instructions.
• Apply sound judgment when resolving non-standard or unexpected equipment issues.
• Work directly with customers as an on-site technical representative during installations and service activities.
• Complete accurate and timely service reports and other required documentation.
• Assist with training new technicians on equipment installation and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Follow all company and customer safety, quality, and site-specific requirements.
• Perform additional field service responsibilities as assigned.
