GLOBALFOUNDRIES U.S. INC. seeks a Maintenance Technician Apprentice for our Malta FAB8 facility.

The role focuses on monitoring, sustaining, and improving semiconductor equipment and processes, working with production teams and area engineers. Apprentices will complete four HVCC courses over 18–24 months at no cost and may advance to a Level 2 Technician with a pay adjustment. Key duties include following procedures, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and communicating status

Qualifications

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Adhere to FAB8 EHS&S policies for safe operations.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per procedures.
• Monitor equipment for manufacturing readiness and document status.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in assigned area.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, and PC/software skills.
• Communicate updates to Lead Tech/Engineer and complete shift pass downs.
• Participate in four HVCC courses during 18–24 month apprenticeship.
• Support training activities and contribute to continuous improvement.
